NYC Theatrical Premiere, One Week Only!

"This is a film that keeps going -- in your head as you think about what was going on, in the car on the way home as you talk about what may have really been going on."
- Tom Maurstad, THE DALLAS MORNING NEWS

"One of the most memorable films of the year -- an often dreamlike study of childhood where every image and moment rings true even if we're often not sure why we're seeing what we're seeing."
- Eric Volmers, THE CALGARY HERALD

Winner of a Grand Jury prize at the AFI Dallas International Film Festival, ST. NICK is a haunting and lovely portrait of childhood set on the stark plains of Texas. A cult hit at SXSW, Sarasota and Maryland, writer-director David Lowery's mysterious feature debut makes its NYC theatrical premiere with a week-long run, April 22 - 29.

ST. NICK is a mysterious adventure about an 11-year-old brother and 9-year-old sister on the run (played by real-life siblings Tucker and Savanna Sears). They've left their home for some unknown reason and are living in the woods, hiding in barns and sheds, doing what they can to survive. As the bitter Texas winter sets in, they strike up residence in an abandoned house and, for a brief, bittersweet period, manage to escape the harsh realities of their circumstances.

The film screens with David Lowery's PIONEER, Winner of the Best Narrative Short at SXSW 2011 and a favorite of Sundance 2011. Musician-actor-iconoclast Will Oldham stars as a father who tells his little boy (Myles Brooks) the most epic bedtime story ever.

"David Lowery's tender, moody short is an absolute cryptogram. PIONEER manages to stay within the confines of a bedroom yet utterly transports the audience to the high altitudes of childhood imagination."
- James Ponsoldt, FILMMAKER MAGAZINE
